Well every instrument has a story behind it, so here is all I know about this banjo. It was custom built by a Luthier in the 60’s named Bill Prince from Fort Worth Texas. Mr. Prince is believed to have made at least 5 banjos with this one being his last just barely finishing it before he died with cancer. It was also said that Mr. Prince made a banjo like this one for Willie Nelson. The name on the headstock, barely visible says E L Prince and Son. It was believed that Bill was the son of E L Prince possibly. The person the banjo was built for was named Robert A. Capers also from the Fort Worth area. On the banjo is an inlayed block of   R A C, which are Mr. Capers initials. As shown in the photos the banjo is gold plated with beautiful workmanship. The neck had a crack at the heel and has been repaired. The banjo also comes with a nice hard shell case in good condition. If you need further information please feel free to contact me.
